Here they are: the three killer 3971’s.

As promised, all three metals of the desireable 3971. Recently re-united. White, rose, yellow.

Crispy and clear as gilt opaline…

Or blackened salmon 🍣 . I like how this 5172G-010 looks and wears. The number contrast really pops. Patek Philippe certainly is a master on case design and the 29-535 PS movement is a class of its own. I actually like how the pushers feel too. When compar

Patek Philippe 3448 White Gold.

Credit photo: Only Watches. We most often see it in colored gold, but in white, it is really something, too. Colder appeal, this beauty. Best, Nicolas

Lately, I've been using the 5712A more often for everyday use.

Up until now, my go-to everyday watch has overwhelmingly been the 5711. It was the first PP watch I ever bought. Of course, it’s very comfortable to wear and easy to read, and since it was secondhand, I also had the peace of mind that it would be okay eve

In the Antiquorum auction held today in Hong Kong,

the Patek Philippe 5089G with the enamel Rousseau Lion was sold at HK$2,400,000 (excluding buyer's commission). It's a rare one out of 6 pieces made. Congratulations to the winning bidder. My humble Swatch watch next to the image.

A couple of beauties...

Managed to try on these earlier today. I really like the deep blue lacquered dial. This one is very tempting. This silvertoned dial version is very attractive and refreshing. Quite different from the blue or salmon variants.

Are auction prices 'real'?

I was looking for some articles on the Patek ref. 5135P Annual Calendar. I came across a Sotheby's listing for an auction in September/October of 2025, so not too long ago. This one hammered at 25,400 Euros, or about $30,000 U.S. That seemed incredibly lo
